China Airlines is expanding its operations in Japan with the introduction of a new daily flight service between Taichung and Okinawa. This move enhances the airline’s presence in the Japanese market and increases the total number of round-trip flights the carrier operates between Taiwan and Japan to over 170 each week.
The new route is serviced by an Airbus A321neo aircraft. The flight, designated as CI310, departs from Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and touches down in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return journey, flight CI311, takes off from Okinawa at 1:40 p.m., arriving back in Taichung by 2:10 p.m.
In addition to this, China Airlines has announced plans to launch a second daily service starting on August 13. The added flight, CI312, will leave Taichung at 3:20 p.m. and land in Okinawa at 6:00 p.m. The return flight, CI313, will depart Okinawa at 7:00 p.m. and arrive in Taichung at 7:30 p.m.
With these new additions, alongside current services from Taipei and Kaohsiung, China Airlines will operate approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa each week. This expansion significantly boosts the connectivity between Taiwan and Japan, providing more travel options for both business and leisure passengers.
