China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks concerning their longstanding Boundary Question. This was confirmed by Guo Jiakun, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, during a routine press briefing held on Tuesday. Guo emphasized that both nations are in continuous dialogue regarding border issues and are actively working on implementing the agreements reached in their previous discussions.
Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. During his visit, Wang engaged in discussions with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, highlighting the ongoing diplomatic engagements between the two countries.
Guo Jiakun mentioned that the situation along the China-India border remains stable, underscoring that the communication channels between the two sides are functioning well. He reiterated that both countries are committed to carrying out the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary talks, which reflects a shared interest in maintaining peace and stability along the border.
